Desaru is a beautiful beach located that in Kota Tinggi and approximately 88 kilometers east of Johor Bahru, on the South China Sea. It is a very popular weekend escape for local people and the Singaporean who come to enjoy the attractive 25 km stretch of beaches and splendid golf courses.

Desaru beach located near a town name Bandar Penawar, at which there are various Malaysian boarding schools including Sekolah Menengah Sains Kota Tinggi, Sekolah Sukan Bandar Penawar and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Bandar Penawar, some residential area and also serves as the area's transport hub.

Desaru beach

Desaru is not a well developed resort as there are also some abandoned and unaccomplished resorts' project nearby, but there are a lot of things to do while you are there by take advantage of the nice wide beach, and of the shallow and clear water. All 22 km of it is open to all, even the stretches in front of the hotels, but most locals congregate at the public beach, which provides a some space for carpark, a few barbeque pits and grotty toilets.
